With over 29 years of success as an international human resources executive, Alan is known for his depth of expertise, creativity and talent for tailoring customized solutions that successfully balance and integrate global business objectives and individual country parameters.
Alan’s Global HR experience was gained in the manufacturing, aerospace and defense, chemicals, entertainment and media, and software industries. Prior to founding LOF, he held Global Human Resources roles, as both an HR “generalist/business partner” and corporate “subject matter expert”, at Pako Corporation, Sundstrand Corporation, FMC Corporation, The Walt Disney Company, Commerce One and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
In addition to noted strengths in Global HR strategy, establishing and reorganizing operations in new countries, international compensation and benefits, and as an HR Business Partner, Alan is a recognized expert in creating, reengineering and managing all manner of policies and programs covering temporary international assignments and “permanent” Country-to-Country transfers (“Global Mobility”).
Alan created the curriculum and taught the International Human Resources Management course in the UCLA Extension Business and Management program. He also is an instructor for the Society of Human Resources Management Global Learning System that prepares students for the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification.
